Go Jump in a Lake!

This year there were fewer of the fam that were able to go to Bear Lake, but still we had a grand ol' time. Here's some fun picts...
Aunt Candy with Belle...

Cousin Mikey with Belle...

Loobey and "the dad"...

Big T..."GOO!" (The family will appreciate this one.)

Cousin Kyrstin, who I always tease that she should have been mine since she looks more like me than most of my kids, and her "twin" Loobey.

I seriously have been blessed with the greatest family. Not only the one I have now, but the one I was raised in. We're so blessed to all live so near each other and to have the kids grow up knowing and loving each other. My mom has a saying in her house that says, "Grandma's house: where cousins come to be best friends". That pretty much sums it up for where ever we get together. These days of camping together make especially great memories for all of us!

Uintahs

We've had quite the busy summer this year. So here's the start of a Summer Recap! We started off with a quick three day campout at CK's mom's property up in the Uintahs. Breaking out the ol' tent trailor for the first time is always fun!

...and yes, it was a bit on the COLD side!
Our first s'mores of the season..mmmmmmm...

We took a little hike in the morning. Rojita wanted to get a nice workout so she carried little Belle.

I love this picture of Loobey walking by her grandpa. He is 100% cowboy!

One of the days there we flew kites. That seems like a funny thing to do, but we had the greatest time doing it. It's times like these that I sure would love to "freeze" my kids and always have them at this fun age!

Time Warp

Today I was able to go to lunch with some of my favorite people ever! My Tracy friend came in from North Carolina to visit her family, so we arranged a lunch date with her and three other of my dear friends from long ago. It's been over 18 years since we've all been together!

This is Tracy, Jill, me, Sarah and Jeanette.

I went to high school with Tracy, Jill and Jeanette. Sarah came along after and we adopted her as one of our "high school buddies". What great gals! Now just for fun, here's us same gals 19 years ago (in the same order)...

It's funny that it's been that many years, yet it feels like yesterday.
