His brother lives in a small town called Soldotna, which is about three hours south of Anchorage. They were married in their backyard, which turned out nice. This is us with the happy couple and CK's bio-dad.
These are Jeff's two beautiful daughters, Jamie and Nicky with my cutie Rojita.
Here's a sight you'll never see again, CK with a cowboy hat. I think he looks pretty darn good!
Rojita is really the only one of our kids that Jeff knows. He moved to Alaska before Big T was born. He was so happy we brought Rojita, he just kept thanking us for bringing her.
One thing we couldn't get over was how long it stayed light there. This picture was taken outside our hotel window at 11:45 P.M. Yes, P.M.!! By the time we got up around 7 a.m. it was bright as mid-day. I don't even think it ever gets completely dark in the summer.
It was such a beautiful time of year to go. Since the summers are so short everything blooms at once. These purple flowers were along side every road. We drove for hours and I so I know, they're along EVERY road! It was just beautiful!
We made our way down to Homer which truly is "the end of the world." It's a small town that the last mile or so of the main road leads you to this long "spit" or peninsula with the most fun shops and the best seafood restaurants lining both sides of the road and nothing but ocean behind them.
One end of the row of shops...
One of my favorite shops there...
This cool place is called the "Salty Dawg Saloon". This inside is completely covered with one dollar bills. People sign their dollar then stick it where ever they want inside. We just stayed long enough to get a quick picture, FYI.
Of course we found a restaurant and CK was in heaven with the King Crab.
And the best part of this whole Homer Spit experience you knew just where to find your hubby...
Like I said it was a whirlwind vacation but so much fun!! We also were able to go to a very neat Ocean aquarium in Seward that was amazing. And one of my favorite parts was being able to attend church up there! I love seeing that the church and the people are pretty much the same wherever you go! So, lots of good times! Happy Marriage, Jeffy and TerryLynn!
